CentOS 7のyumでVault Mirrorを利用する

CentOS 7のサポートは2024年6月30日で終了しました。7月1日には早速 mirrorlist.centos.org が利用不能になり、各ミラーサイトからもファイルが削除されました。この結果、CentOS 7 でyum 関連のコマンドを実行すると以下のエラーが表示されるようになりました。

Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=7&arch=x86_64&repo=os&infra=stock error was
14: curl#6 - "Could not resolve host: mirrorlist.centos.org; 不明なエラー"

参照するリポジトリをVault Mirror (https://vault.centos.org/)に切り替えることで、yum を利用することができます。

CentOS の公式リポジトリ(base, extras, updates)は、/etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo で設定します。デフォルトでは以下の内容になっています。

mirrorlist= から始まる行をコメントアウト(行頭に#を挿入)し、#baseurl= から始まる行をアンコメント(行頭の#を削除)し、mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever を vault.centos.org/7.9.2009 に置換します。

編集後の /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo は以下のようになります。

これで、yum でパッケージの追加・更新をできるようになります。ただし、CentOS 7 のサポートは既に終了しているため、今後セキュリティアップデートは提供されないことにご注意ください。
